Kentucky Science Center 2013 ThunderblastWe attended Thunderblast at the Kentucky Science Center for Thunder Over Louisville this Saturday and it was really a treat! Our family had private access to the museum and all of its exhibits including the new BODY WORLDS Vital exhibit, lots of kid's activities, discounted IMAX tickets and so much more! The kids loved the science experiments, bounce houses, and frisbee spin painting!

The Science Center had a private viewing area on the River for their guests which made us feel very safe and secure. We were able to place our chairs anywhere within the enclosed area, and every guest received a wristband to identify themselves. There were plenty of food choices and drinks/alcohol available to purchase in the tent as well. Although we didn't stay for it, they offered a late IMAX show at 10:15 so you could hang out at the Science Center and watch a show while the rest of the city is fighting the traffic to get home! We parked in a parking garage not too far from the museum and this year the traffic was not bad at all.

We had a great time and my kids slept in the car on the way home. If you are looking for a safe and fun place to experience Thunder that benefits the Science Center’s mission-driven programs such as curriculum development, on-site programming, School’s Out Science Camps, and outreach efforts throughout the region, check out the Kentucky Science Center's Thunderblast! We look forward to making this our traditional location to attend Thunder Over Louisville!
