This was the 91st year for the Kosair Shrine Circus .  To see my children in awe and jumping up and down with excitement was well worth it.  They have something for everyone.  When you first walk in you are kindly greeted by Shriner’s, as well as clowns, and given an honorary Shriner Hat.  Then you see an elaborate set-up, some bouncy houses and animal rides.  The bouncy, animal rides, face painting, and photo with a snake are all an extra cost ranging from $6.00 to $15.00.

The Kosair Shrine Circus is performed by George Carden Circus International. George is the fifth generation in show business and has been in the circus business all of his life. He has acquired knowledge of all aspects of the operation from front to back. The circus travels over 40,000 miles each year in the United States and Canada. The season lasts 42 weeks, during which part of the time the circus has two units on the road. Both of his sons work elephants in the circus. George Carden Circus International offers the finest in family entertainment. They present a beautiful three-ring production which is fascinating to children of all ages! With 50 years producing Carden Entertainment's Shrine Circus, no other circus producer offers the Spectacular Entertainment package that George Carden does.

Elephants, Camels, and Minature Pony rides, oh my!   My children were just so excited and overwhelmed by it all that they wanted to do it all.  However the pony won over the other amazing animals.  They get to sit on a pony of their choice and ride around for a few laps.

There are so many amazing performers throughout the event and so many surprises around every corner.  The lights, the action, and the tigers!!!  Bruno Blaszak is the tiger trainer for this event and he definitely knows how to get the tigers to do anything he wants.  I don’t want to give it all away but let’s just say things get tight!

No circus would be complete without an exciting Ringmaster at it’s side.  Kevin Venardos has been a ringmaster for 15 years and never imagined it is where he would be.  He was a musican theater major but he sure knows how to draw attention to where it needs to be.

You can look forward to and expect just about everything at this amazing event.  From trapeze artists by The Flying Cortez to Hugo’s Arabian Knights and horses to the quick changing Barbie Doll Sisters there is definitely something for everyone.  That is just the first Act!  You will get to enjoy an intermission for a chance to relax and refresh and grab a snack or souvenir.

Couldn’t make it last night, don’t worry you still have until February 7, 2016 to get tickets and go to this great event!
