November 17, 2016- Jan. 5, 2017- White Christmas: The Exhibit Back by popular demand, White Christmas: The Exhibit will be on display this holiday season at the Frazier History Museum! Visitors will see costumes, posters, and memorabilia from the 1954 classic film starring Kentucky's own Rosemary Clooney, along with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen. On loan from the Rosemary Clooney House in Augusta, KY, the exhibit includes authentic props from the film with several costumes — including the blue dresses Clooney and Ellen wore as they sang “Sisters” – where visitors will hear the stories behind the objects and characters of White Christmas.   http://fraziermuseum.org/upcoming-exhibitions/

December 8-10, 2016 - Festival of Nativities - CRESTWOOD, KY -- The seventh annual Festival of Nativities will be held the evenings of December 8th, 9th, and 10th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Crestwood. The festival is a community-wide event during the Christmas season that displays over 500 different nativity scenes. In addition to the nativities the festival will have live music and children’s activities.There will also be a winter coat drive for Mission Crestwood. New or “gently used” coats of all sizes are needed. The event is free and open to the public. There will also be an area where children can interact with nativity scenes and dress in period costumes. In addition, a live nativity will be performed each night of the event. Thursday, December 8, 2016, 6:30pm - Nutcracker Storytime with the Louisville Ballet  - Louisville Free Public Library-  Main Library 301 York Street Louisville, KY USA 40203  Children of all ages and their families are invited to a special Nutcracker Family Storytime with the Louisville Ballet. The event features a Louisville Ballet dancer reading the classic holiday story, The Nutcracker, followed by Nutcracker-inspired crafts and activities.
