I am a Feld Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my
opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided
me with complimentary tickets to Feld shows and opportunities to attend private Feld pre-Show events.
We attended the Thursday night opening of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents LEGENDS℠ at the KFC Yum! Center. I was not sure what to expect since I have not been to a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® show since I was a child. We got there early as doors open 1 hour before the show. We took some fun photos out in front where they have three big trailers with the their logo on them and then we got in line so we could be some of the first ones in the door. There are souvenir booths in the entryway where you can buy clown noses, programs, stuffed animals, lights and swords. There are also several green screen photo booths where the kids can sit on a plastic elephant, tiger or lion. Be sure to make your way to the arena quickly though because there is a pre-show where they bring out the performers and you can see them perform a small show up close. You also have time to get pictures with the clowns and they interact with the kids.
There is also a bounce house at the river end of the arena. They will clear the floor about 20 minutes before the show. So make sure you get in there quick and keep an eye on your little ones as they are moving equipment around quickly. We got to our seats which were in Section 117 Row K, Wonderful Seats ( I don't think there is a bad seat in the place)! When the show started they have their full crew come out all together and they sing and dance. It was very high energy and gets the crowd ready and excited! There was something for the whole family. There were Bicyclists doing amazing stunts, Motorcyclists in the cage of doom, Tigers and Dog Trainers and more. They had it all!
Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Lamas, Goats, Donkeys, Horses, Pigs and Dogs, Pegasus and even Unicorns. Your definitely gonna see a good show. Be prepared to laugh and gasp!
I myself liked the clowns the best, it was interesting to see how they distracted you while the crew sat up the next act. They also performed with some of the dancing acts. My daughter loved them to and asked if she could write to the clowns and see what she would have to do to grow up and be a circus clown. My wife liked the Tigers the best. Alexander Lacey was fearless as the cats roared he got them to jump and stand. Then they looked like big kitty cats as he tried to get them back to their cages they just wanted to play. The kids also especially liked the trapeze artists and the Woolly Mammoth! My 10 year old didn't want to leave when the show ended because he had so much fun!
If you park under Yum center on 3rd St the cost of parking is $10 and it was easy in and easy out.
The show is about 2 hours long. There is a intermission but the clowns come out to entertain.
This is truly THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH! Make plans to go see it this weekend!
