Derby Dinner Playhouse opened the world premiere of THE TOOTH FAIRY this past weekend as part of their Children’s Musical Theatre Series.  Their children’s shows always sell out and this one will be no different.  But, they have added 2 more performance dates on Monday night, March 9th and Saturday, March 28th so call now to reserve!b2ap3_thumbnail_Tooth-Fairy-Photo.jpg

We always love to go for the breakfast show because my kids love the food on the breakfast buffet.  They like the cheesy hash brown casserole, French toast sticks, biscuits and gravy, ham, baked apples, scrambled eggs, fruit medley and more!  White milk, chocolate milk, orange juice, coffee, tea and water are included with your ticket price.  You can also order sodas for an additional price.  My best piece of advice, TAKE WIPES!  My kids love the syrup for the French toast sticks and we need lots of wipes to make sure no one is sticky!

While you wait for the show to start, the programs always have fun puzzles or crosswords in them for kids and this show's program also has fun facts about teeth! Everyone always looks forward to Bravo the star, the Derby Dinner mascot who visits every table before the show and does a short pre-show on the stage to tell you about upcoming offerings and how the kids can participate in each show

The well-rounded cast kicks the show off in style by singing "I think."  That cast includes FINN (Mitch Donahue), ANNA (Marina Hart), MRS. SCHNEIDER (Carly Stotts), MARINA (Sally Scott), LUCY (Katelyn Webb), REID (Timothy Stucky), and TOOTH FAIRY (Stacia McKee).

The show follows Mrs. Schneider’s first grade c who want to know what the Tooth Fairy does with the teeth she collects.  While they should be learning about conservation and preserving our environment, they are focused on their teeth.  So Mrs. Schneider does what every good teacher does.  She uses their obsession for teeth to trick them into learning their lessons.  Meanwhile, they plan to trap the Tooth Fairy and get some answers. This world premiere musical comedy is sure to spark your children’s imagination and leave them giggling!

THE TOOTH FAIRY was written for the Derby Dinner stage by Tina Jo Wallace with Music by Scott Bradley.  Other songs featured in THE TOOTH FAIRY are “Dear Tooth Fairy”, “Magic in Mystery”, “Treasure Outta Trash!”, and more!  Derby Dinner’s production of THE TOOTH FAIRY is under the direction of Bekki Jo Schneider.
