I had the pleasure of attending a great performance of Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol at Actors Theatre of Louisville last week!  The theater has come alive with a bright, wintery themed lobby and Dickens’ era characters all around.  This show is a huge Christmas tradition for me.  I remember growing up how I looked forward to it every year.  It is a beloved story of charity, kindness and redemption to life.  Over the years the scenery, costumes and actors have changed, but the professionalism of the show has always been unwavering.  This tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey to finding...

Louisville’s favorite vampire is back, and he’s out for blood.  I was thrilled, literally, to see the opening night performance of Dracula, this Louisville favorite last Friday night!  I haven't been to Actors Theatre to see Dracula in a very long time so I couldn't wait to see what all the show had in store for me.  Now in it's 20th season, Dracula at Actors Theatre is now the second-longest-running production and the only Dracula to be seen annually at any theatre anywhere.  I love that Dracula takes place in the smaller, more intimate Bingham theater.  When you first look...

I had no idea that I would have the pleasure of visiting a tropical island on Wednesday night, in the midst of this Polar Vortex we have been experiencing.  But, when I entered the Bingham Theatre of Actors Theatre of Louisville, I was greeted by ukulele-playing cast members dressed in swimsuits, throwing beach balls and encouraging everyone to visit the Tiki Bar!  You see kiddie pools filled with rubber ducks, and tiki torches light up the aisles.  You immediately wonder what you are in for!  This is the scene of The Hypocrites’, Chicago theatre rebels, version of Gilbert and Sullivan’s...
