April is here and that means it is time for RAIN SHOWERS!  Derby Dinner Playhouse is taking it to the extreme and making it rain indoors!  We attended an opening week performance of their newest production Singin' in the Rain last week and had a great time as we watched this classic musical comedy come alive on stage!  SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN is based on the MGM classic film featuring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor.  Adapted for the stage by Betty Camden and Adolph Green, this light-hearted romantic comedy will please any fan of the golden age of...

  Derby Dinner Playhouse opened the extraordinary musical adventure, THE JUNGLE BOOK, this past weekend as the newest offering in their Children’s Musical Theatre Series.  Upon entering the lobby, you see a HUGE gorilla to welcome you to this fun animal adventure!   This already had my kids in a great mood, but eating some fabulous food from the breakfast buffet worked wonders too! I attended the opening night production of Copacabana at Derby Dinner Playhouse last week and was immediately transported to a world of colorful music, Barry Manilow style!  It was just what was needed to try to pull out of this winter slump everyone has been in lately!  Spring is right around the corner and you can definitely feel it from this energetic and upbeat cast, as they take you to Havana and back all in a few hours!  The showgirls and costumes were so vivid and fun!  “Her name was Lola.
