The kids and I got into the football spirit this weekend when we went to Derby Dinner Playhouse to see their newest Children’s Musical Theater Production, Miss Nelson has a Field Day!  My 7 year old was excited to see another Miss Nelson show, as we saw the original at Derby Dinner as well!  He also has the books at school and enjoys telling me all the secrets before they unfold, lol.  My 2.5 year old just loved that the show was about football and kept yelling “tackle” at the actors on stage! I took a trip Over the Rainbow last night when I attended a preview performance of the Wizard of Oz at Derby Dinner Playhouse!  The show opens tonight and runs through August 18.  With a show this popular, it is sure to sell out quickly, so get your seats soon! Derby Dinner is about more than just the main show!  It is about the whole experience.  For us, that started off with a wonderful dinner buffet.  They rotate menus for each show, but this show hosted all of my favorites!  Turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and more! ...

This past Saturday was yet once again a highlight into my adventures of Children’s Musical Theater with my two little guys!  We attended Awesome Allie First Kid Astronaut at Derby Dinner Playhouse and could not have been more pleased with the production! My boys didn’t take their eyes off the show once and the show times are always a perfect length at just under 60 minutes.   As usual, we started the morning off with lots of wonderful food from the breakfast buffet.  The kids especially love the French toast sticks and the scrambled eggs!  The buffet also includes ham, biscuits...
